I'm a sucker for all that new years resolution stuff, It's such a refreshing feeling to know that you have a clean slate, a new year and hopefully a better "you". I don't think I have ever followed through the entire year on a resolution, but sometimes its just having a new attitude about things that can make a huge difference.
My Resolutions are:
1. Lose weight and more importantly get healthier.
2. Start a "line a day Journal" (Where you right a line, a sentence or a thought about each day for the year) - so far, I've done it everyday!
3. Try a new recipe every week.
4. Blog 3-4 times a week.
And
5. Find a hobby and stick with it. (I may try knitting very soon!) Thanks Amanda!
Wish me luck, and I'll keep you updated on my progress with each resolution :)
Goodbye for now,
Felicia
p.s. The med students dilated their eyes today... Josh's eye is freaking me out.

Resolution Time
Friday, October 28, 2011
it's almost time for... BFCP #3
BFCP stands for... hmmm, I can't remember at the moment, but, it's a big test or "assessment" (I hear that word more times than I hear my own name) for the med students covering all of their science classes. and it is now two weekends away. ahhh!
The process goes something like this:
study study study study study, freak out, study study....etc.
1. Take test
2. Freak out
3. Think you're going to fail for at least 24 hours
4. Getting test back, picking apart every little thing you did right or wrong
5. Go through "week after test syndrome" .... this is where all of your bad study habits come out, you take more naps, spend more time with friends or those special people in your life that stick around because they know you're going to make a lot of money one day :) (only kidding!)
6. Then, reality kicks back in and you repeat the entire process.
Well, right now Josh is in the reality kicking back in portion and he knows he has to put in some extra hours due to a slightly prolonged "week after test syndrome". (we watched 2 hours of dexter the other night, pretty crazy!) But, I know he will be just fine... he puts in the time and understand the material so when test day comes *even though he doubts himself* I know he will kick some booty.
That is all for now. I have a messy apartment to tend to, and will be savoring the last 12 hours of my day off.

Married Life vs. Medical Life
Welcome to my blog!
I have decided to start a blog about being married to a 1st year med student. Mainly this blog will be for me, but I hope other people who are in a similar situation can find comfort or support from this also.
I am only 2 months into the whole medical world, but so far its been one wild ride.
Let me give you a little back ground info;
-Josh and I have been together for 8 years and married for 4 months.
-He is attending OUWB, and 11 weeks into his first year. (kinda feels like 2 years already)
-I work as a CNA for the elderly.
-We love watching dexter and weeds when we can.
-He is interested in Internal Medicine.
-we are adjusting well to being married, and I have only had a f e w melt downs during the process. :)
I'm hoping to update regularly and share what our lives have and will become.
Thanks for reading!
